In a July 9 opinion, Morton County Judge David Reich denied Chad Trolon Isaak's lawyers' movement to suppress proof and a request for a hearing to identify if police intentionally used false information to get a search warrant.
Isaak, 46, has been charged with four Class AA felony counts of murder, one each for the April 1, 2019, slayings of RJR Maintenance & & Management co-owner Robert Fakler and workers Adam Fuehrer, Bill Cobb and his partner, Lois.
Investigators say Isaak is the masked man caught on camera repeling in a white pickup from the RJR building. Authorities utilized cellular phone location data to find who remained in the location at the time of the murders. A McLean County Sheriff's Deputy, who was a client at Isaak's chiropractic business in Washburn, N.D., also acknowledged the white pickup as coming from Isaak.
Authorities got a search warrant and found blood in Isaak's car. He was arrested several days after the fatal shootings and stabbings at business that handles the Washburn mobile park where he lives.

The defense argued officers utilized false info to obtain a search warrant for Isaak's lorry, which caused finding proof that triggered officers to seek out more search warrants for other home he owns. Officers stated the suspect in the pickup was wearing dark clothes when video shows intense clothes, the defense said in court documents.
Reich said video shows a few of the clothes worn by the suspect was dark, while other posts were bright.
There were other declarations authorities used to get the initial warrant that the defense claimed were incorrect. Lawyer argued Isaak had a right to a Franks hearing to determine if that was the case.
Reich suggested that the defense did not fulfill the burden to show investigators intentionally lied to get the warrants. He also discovered that the statements the defense declared to be incorrect were not essential for officers to obtain a search warrant, as there were other aspects utilized for the legal search.
Isaak's jury trial is set for Nov. 30.
