The Leflore County Board of Supervisors honored her Monday with a resolution.

Dr. Pernell-Saunders' daughter, Dr. Erin Jacobs Stagner, also a chiropractic doctor, had actually worked with her mom at the exact same practice for numerous years.

Dr. Pernell-Saunders and her spouse, George Saunders, whom she wed in February, participated in First Baptist Church in Itta Bena.
“When she got married to George, she was so pleased. He made her so delighted, like a teenager in love,” Acosta stated.
Stagner stated a few of her fondest memories with her mother consist of the many trips, shopping experiences, meals and vacations they shared.
“My mommy had a servant's heart,”Stagner stated. “There are so many times that she provided for others without acknowledgment, in secret and sacrificing her time, money and energy.”
